Born in the East End of London (Hackney) he was introduced to Roots and Culture through his father Allan,  
growing up with a love for music.  
He says; "It was the drums that gave me the vibe and inspiration to play.  
Listening to great drummers like; Sly Dunbar, Santa, Horsemouth, Carlton Barratt, Style Scott,  
Mickey Boo,Jah Bunny and Steve [Grizzly].

Blood Shanti first began playing drums at school with friends Carl Mcintosh (Lose Ends) and Jean Adebambo (singer). 
My first Roots band was called 'Black Chalice'. Members of the band consist of  Prince Stanley Andrews (Guitar) Michael Daley (Bass) Everis Pellius (Lead Singer) Errol Mullings (Drums & Percussion) & Bert George (keyborads) 
Here i started my journey through bands and artists like; 
Prediction, Donna Rodden, Sandra Cross, Prince Lincoln, & the Royal Rasses, Dee    Sharp, Everis,Culture,K.E.Black Slate,Sugar Minott, 
I Jahman Levi, Mickey Spice, Abyssinians, Steven Wright and the Rite Vibe, ,  
African Headcharge, Half Pint, Johnny Clarke and Tena Stelin, Max Romeo, 
(Just to mention a few)

While at home I put a small recording studio in the late 80s early 90s at them times I was doing recordings from cassette to cassette I started to write and compose music of all different styles of reggae i.e. Roots & Culture Lovers Rock Dance Hall until I got my four track recorder machine. and my brother Aba came to my studio and said, 
"Let's make a dub track so he can play it on the sound ". 
We called the track 'Jah Jah Guide' and it was our first official dubplate. We put together this track that had vibes but still had to work on the way it sounds. 
So I worked on our vibes for a number of years to get the sound right and moving forward eventually i got better and was falling in love with the music i was putting together.

Blood Shanti is a quiet unassuming man with a Jah given gift for music. A strong believer in Peace, Love & Unity. 
As you can see he has worked with the cream of the crop  
UK, European based and Jamaican based artists and is noted as a top class drummer who has toured  
the four corners of this Earth.

Its my duty to make sure that this site is of top quality in the music and in the massage and the vibes.

Blood Shanti the singer 
I began to sing on some of the old dubs (just for myself to listen too) I tried many times to get other vocalist to come and sing my songs but they couldn't feel my vibes. As time went by I ended up doing it myself until one day my brother Shanti Roots said "It's time for you to be heard Blood and that's when the name  'Blood Shanti' was born. 
My first release titled 'Tear Down Babylon' made a big impact on the Roots & Culture / Dub scene "Soon after we started our own record company 'Falasha Recordings 'and from there on I felt compelled by  
'The Almighty' to sing and tell our children not to go astray because the power is within us all to come  
together as one".
