Aba Shanti -I
Over the last 35 years Aba Shanti has been playing his sound system and has travel the four corners of the earth chanting the words of the Most High (H.I.M.) and spreading his word sound of peace and love to the world.
Aba Shanti was born in Hackney, London, UK of Antiguan parents, who immigrated to the UK in the 1960s. He was first introduced to roots reggae music by his father Allan Smith, who himself ran a sound system called Count Allan.
Aba Shanti-I and his sound system play regularly in the UK, with residencies at the Notting Hill Carnival since 1993, Leicester Carnival and the University of Dub just to mention a few residencies over the years. The sound system has also played in Belgium, France, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Portugal and Spain, USA.
Over the last 35 years Aba has been playing his sound & the music created by his brother "Blood Shanti" in small and large halls throughout England. In the process he has developed a following covering the widest spectrum of Jah's humanity
The vibe that Aba generates has brought him to the attention of the media on a worldwide basis and
he has been the subject of numerous articles in domestic and foreign magazines.
